Just a few days after Nintendo hosted the Super Mario Bros, Nintendo is already preparing for a standard Nintendo Direct event. During this presentation, Nintendo will highlight many of the titles expected to launch in the remainder of 2023 and early 2024.
As reported by the Brazilian website Universo Nintendo, the latest Nintendo Direct presentation is scheduled to take place sometime between September 11-15. The nature of the presentation, whether it will be a concise showcase or a more comprehensive event, remains uncertain. However, given that the gaming industry is entering its busiest season of the year, expectations lean toward a substantial presentation. This marks the first Nintendo Direct event since June’s presentation, which featured games like Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Pikmin 4, a new Princess Peach game, and the Super Mario RPG remake.
What to Expect in the Upcoming Nintendo Direct Presentation?
While the content of the upcoming Nintendo Direct is currently undisclosed, there are several Nintendo Switch releases in the pipeline. Expect details about titles like Sonic Superstars (launching October 17th) and Super Mario Bros. Wonder (launching October 20th). Other games on the horizon include Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection (October 24th), Star Ocean: The Second Story R (November 2nd), WarioWare: Movie It! (November 3rd), Super Mario RPG (November 17th), and the first Pokemon Scarlet/Violet expansion in fall 2023.
Additionally, there’s a chance for news on titles set to release in 2023 and beyond, possibly including Metroid Prime 4. There have been rumours about the Nintendo Switch 2, which may or may not make an appearance during the presentation, as the current Nintendo Switch is reaching the end of its lifecycle since its release in 2017.
