Samsung’s Android 14-based One UI 6 update is making its way to users of the Galaxy S23 in Europe, according to reports from various sources on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit.
Several European countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Portugal, have seen the update rolling out. While many users are upgrading from the beta version of One UI 6, some are receiving a larger 3GB patch to update from the stable version of One UI 5.1.
Although the update is currently limited to European markets, Samsung’s past practices suggest that a stable release in the US won’t be far off. For instance, the company’s Android 13-based One UI 5 update started rolling out for European Galaxy S22 owners around October 24th last year, followed by a US release roughly a week later.
The One UI 6 update has been available in beta for approximately two and a half months. Notable changes in this update, as highlighted by Android Police, include enhancements to camera and weather apps and widgets, a redesigned quick settings menu, and overhauled emoji designs. To download the update, Galaxy S23 owners can access the device’s Settings app, select Software Update, and then proceed with the Download and Install option. This update brings new features and improvements to enhance the user experience on Samsung’s flagship devices.
