As OpenAI gears up for its inaugural developer conference, a substantial ChatGPT update has been unofficially disclosed. According to The Decoder, leaked images and videos reveal a customized chatbot creator, built on the GPT-4 technology, offering many of the same capabilities as the current ChatGPT, such as web browsing and data analysis.
Additionally, OpenAI is reportedly planning to launch a new marketplace where users can either share their created chatbots or explore those made by others.
A user named Choi recently summarized the rumoured updates, and just this morning, SEO tools developer Tibor Blaho shared a video demonstrating the user interface for this new feature. The video showcases a “GPT Builder” option that enables users to input a prompt, like “create a chatbot that helps generate visuals for new products.”
Within the “Create” tab, users can select a default language, tone, and writing style for their chatbot. The “Configure” tab provides fields for naming, describing, and instructing the bot about its capabilities and limitations. Users can also upload files to create a custom knowledge base and enable features like web browsing and image generation. Furthermore, there is an option to add custom actions to the chatbot.
Adjacent to the configuration options, there’s a “Preview pane” with a prompt box for testing the bot as it’s being edited. Blaho posted an in-depth breakdown of the GPT Builder on LinkedIn.
In addition to the new Gizmo tool, Choi suggests that OpenAI plans to introduce an enterprise “Team” subscription plan with “Flexible” and “Annual” options. A screenshot shared by Choi outlines the features of the Team plan, such as unlimited high-speed GPT-4 and four times longer context. The screenshot indicates a price of $25 per user per month for the Team plan, while the non-annual option is expected to be priced at $30 per month, with a three-user minimum requirement.
Recent features in the ChatGPT beta include live web results, image generation, and voice chat. OpenAI has announced that it will offer previews of these new tools at the developer conference scheduled for Monday, so confirmation of these rumours should be forthcoming.
