Tirana, Albania – Ensuring the safety of our community on massive social networks like TikTok is crucial. To address this, we must contribute by reporting all inappropriate content that incites violence, contains hate speech, or violates the rights of children and communities.
Videos reported through these efforts will be reviewed by AMA’s teams. Any video found in violation of rights and ethics will be officially reported to the Platform for necessary actions.
“Starting today, I urge you to report any harmful content that displays or incites violence, contains hate speech, or infringes on the rights of children and communities using the dedicated link on AMA’s official website. Any content that infringes on our freedoms must be stopped. Collaborative regulation is now the accepted formula for a media market that benefits everyone, and we can actively be a part of this process,” writes Krasniqi.
Until recently, removing such content from TikTok was challenging due to the platform’s lack of support for the Albanian language, making it difficult to judge reported cases. However, thanks to a recent collaboration between the Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA) in Albania and TikTok, reporting and removing harmful content is more effective than ever.
To report a video on TikTok in Albanian using AMA’s official website, follow these steps:
- Copy the link of the video you want to report.
- Visit: ama.gov.al/denonco-shkelje-per-tiktok
- Fill out the form by entering the video link, a brief description, and your contact information.
- Click ‘Submit’.
It’s time for TikTok in Albania to be recognized for sharing informative content rather than the excessive triviality found among some users.
