High school students from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Montenegro now have a unique opportunity to enhance their programming skills. Applications for the 5th edition of the Free School of Programming, Plus Ultra are officially open and will remain so until September 7th.
This year’s program introduces the C++ programming language, catering to both beginners and those with pre-existing knowledge. The school also features an advanced group specifically designed for students who already possess a basic understanding of programming.
The curriculum is structured to guide participants through the essentials of C++ and eventually dive into object-oriented programming during the fourth module, where both beginner and advanced groups will converge to deepen their understanding of this critical concept.
Interactive Learning Experience
Classes will be conducted online, offering a flexible and accessible learning environment. Interactive lectures are scheduled for weekends at 3 PM, while additional evening sessions will be held once a week. These evening exercises, lasting 1.5 hours, provide participants with the chance to solve programming tasks under the guidance of a tutor, ensuring they receive the support needed to grasp challenging concepts.
Application Details
Applications are open until September 7th at 23:59, and interested students must apply through a designated online form. This step is mandatory to secure a place in the program.
Empowering Youth in IT
The Plus Ultra Association was founded as part of the “Youth4Youth – Empowering Young People through Youth Organizing” project. This initiative is supported by the American Embassy in Sarajevo through the BOLD program of small grants. The project’s goal is to empower young people to take their first steps into the IT sector, preparing them to be more adaptable and market-ready in the evolving digital landscape.
High school students eager to advance their programming knowledge are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this exceptional educational opportunity.
