Starting today, designers across Serbia are invited to participate in a new, expanded salary survey aimed at providing valuable insights into the design industry. The survey, which remains open until the end of September, is designed to collect anonymous data, contributing to a transparent and detailed understanding of the current state of the profession.
This year’s edition builds on the success of the 2022 survey, broadening its scope to include freelancers and consultants, alongside permanent employees. Additionally, those working full-time but also engaging in freelance or side projects are encouraged to participate. For full-time employees, new questions focus on job cancellations, workplace location preferences (including policy changes), personal development budgets, and overall job satisfaction.
Rebranded as “The Design of the Poll,” this initiative seeks to offer the design community a clearer and more comprehensive picture of salary trends, working conditions, and industry dynamics within Serbia. UX, UI, product designers, graphic designers, illustrators, and professionals in other digital product and service design fields are encouraged to take part in the survey.
As with previous surveys, all data collected will remain anonymous and will be made publicly accessible for in-depth analysis. By participating, designers can strengthen the community, promote transparency, and foster a deeper understanding of the domestic design market.
The initiative is supported by several key organizations in the IT and design sectors, including Design Community, Serbian Product Community, Dafed, Practical UX, IXDA Belgrade, and the Zale podcast, among others. These partners help ensure that the survey results offer a well-rounded view of compensation, working conditions, and industry trends.
Once the data is collected and analyzed, Netrocations will publish detailed insights, as they did last year, allowing everyone to gain a better understanding of the design landscape in Serbia. Whether you’re an industry veteran or just starting, contributing to this survey is an opportunity to help shape the future of design in Serbia. Share your experiences and encourage others to do the same!
