With iOS 18, Apple continues to enhance iPhone customization, bringing a subtle yet impactful feature that allows users to hide app names on the Home Screen. This new capability helps users create a cleaner, more minimalistic look for their devices.
iOS 18 offers users new options to natively create a theme, a more robust and versatile Control Center, and more. Among these features, the ability to place apps and widgets anywhere on the screen stands out, now coupled with the option to hide app names for a minimal aesthetic. This feature also applies to widgets and folders.
Apple first introduced the option to hide names for apps in the Dock with iOS 11, but now extends this functionality to all apps, widgets, and folders on the Home Screen.
