Last August, Nothing introduced its budget-friendly sub-brand, CMF, and the company has now officially revealed three new products under this brand: a smartphone, a watch, and earbuds. These products, aimed at budget-conscious consumers, balance affordability with modest features.
CMF Phone 1
Following the success of the Nothing Phone 1, CMF has launched the CMF Phone 1, which continues the brand’s tradition of quirky design elements. The standout feature is the interchangeable back cover, allowing users to swap colors and designs easily. This design also facilitates access to internal components for repairs and maintenance. An accessory point on the back cover can attach to various accessories, such as fold-out stands, cardholders, and lanyards.
Under the hood, the CMF Phone 1 packs a newly-designed 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor, a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a flagship-grade 50MP main camera sensor from Sony. It also includes a 5,000mAh battery and 8GB of RAM. While these specs are mid-range, they are impressive for the phone’s price point of just $200. The phone is available now, with additional back covers and accessories launching later this month.
CMF Watch Pro 2
The CMF Watch Pro 2, a successor to last year’s model, features a completely revamped design with a rounded shape. It boasts an auto-brightness adjustment algorithm, enhanced sleep tracking, and customizable widgets. Key features include a 1.32-inch always-on AMOLED display, built-in GPS, an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, and multiple health-tracking sensors. The watch promises up to 11 days of use per charge, which drops to nine days with heavy usage.
Customization is a significant aspect of the Watch Pro 2. Users can choose from various bands and swap out the bezel to match different styles and occasions. Priced at $69, the Watch Pro 2 is set to be available on July 11.
CMF Buds Pro 2
Completing the lineup is the CMF Buds Pro 2, an upgrade from the original earbuds. These earbuds feature active noise cancellation and algorithmic spatial audio, enhancing the listening experience. The charging case includes a customizable control dial for adjusting playback settings. While battery life is solid, it does decrease with active noise cancellation turned on.
The Buds Pro 2 have seen a slight price increase from last year’s model, now retailing at $59. They will also be available starting July 11.
CMF’s new product lineup offers a blend of affordability and innovative features, catering to consumers looking for budget-friendly tech options without compromising on quality. With the CMF Phone 1, Watch Pro 2, and Buds Pro 2, the brand continues to make a mark in the competitive tech market.
