SPAR Slovenia has launched an innovative advertising campaign that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance its customer loyalty program. The retailer is embracing advanced technology to create AI-generated videos and holographic displays in-store, setting a new standard in modern retail marketing.
The first phase of the campaign involves a series of AI-generated advertisements that are currently being broadcast across SPAR Slovenia’s digital channels. These ads were produced entirely by AI, with only a few store photos guiding the creative process. By utilizing sophisticated AI video platforms, SPAR Slovenia was able to generate high-quality advertisements directly from text descriptions, eliminating the need for traditional filming methods.
This move reflects SPAR Slovenia’s commitment to innovation and efficiency. Aleš Popič, Head of Digital Marketing at SPAR Slovenia, emphasized that adopting AI technology has not only enhanced the company’s creative capabilities but has also streamlined production and reduced costs. “Innovation is part of SPAR Slovenia’s culture… confirmed that this approach will not only boost our production efficiency while reducing costs but can also reach a new creative level of video content production,” Popič said.
In addition to AI-generated videos, SPAR Slovenia has introduced hologram advertising as part of the campaign. In August, the retailer tested this new technology at its INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Citypark, Ljubljana. A hologram screen was positioned next to a display promoting JBL speakers and headphones, projecting a 3D image of the products. The holographic images, appearing to float in space, offer a captivating visual experience for shoppers, making the products more appealing.
SPAR Slovenia sees this approach as a unique and engaging advertising method, which is currently being tested in select stores. The combination of AI-generated video content and holographic displays showcases the company’s forward-thinking approach and its commitment to exploring new ways of engaging customers.
