Tesla’s Cybertrucks generated high anticipation among motorists and car enthusiasts before their release in November of last year. However, some owners are now taking to social media to voice concerns about what they perceive as a misstep at best and an utter failure at worst.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has previously lauded the Cybertruck, claiming it is “a better truck than a truck while also being a better sports car than a sports car.”
Despite Musk’s praise, a few users are disputing this claim, citing complaints about the Cybertruck’s poor trunk space compared to its competitors and the absence of a spare tire.
This is a big fail IMO on the Cybertruck and one I’m disappointed in. The under bed storage is pathetic or poorly sized given how large the vehicle is, and that @tesla had a blank sheet for design.

Every truck has storage for a spare tire which does not compromise the bed space. Rivian can fit a full-sized spare + changing tools + gear tunnel + retracting tonneau cover in a 4”5’ bed while Cybertruck has 6” feet.
The user expressed concerns about the limited space affecting real-life scenarios such as camping or off-road trips.
I want the entire space of the bed to be usable for a tent, sleeping, camping supplies, cargo, dirt bike, etc. every other truck can do this.

Cybertruck drivers are expressing frustration with what appears to be a design flaw regarding the spare tire.
Furthermore, it’s nice always having a spare tire on a vehicle just in case and not having to lug it in/out. That 35” prob weighs 75-85 lbs. and is not easy to get out.
While some users dismissed the concerns or joked about them being a non-issue, a few supported the complaints.
I don’t know if it’s a ‘big’ fail, but it is certainly a failure. If Cyber Truck really becomes a serious ‘work’ truck, then I’m sure several things will have to change,

It was definitely a miss during the design. The easiest way to fix this would be to attach it like a spare in a jeep, maybe?

Yeah, one of their big mistakes on the design.
