EA Sports UFC 5 is in development, and Geek Room has obtained early insights into certain aspects that players can anticipate, including the game’s launch date. Insider sources have revealed that EA Sports UFC 5 is scheduled for release on October 27, catering to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms. Regrettably, there won’t be a PC edition available for those expecting it.
A notable observation made by fans upon the initiation of beta registration for the game was the shift in its age rating from “T for Teen” to “M for Mature.” According to sources, this alteration was motivated by the desire to incorporate “enhanced realism in depicting damage” and to present a more intricate portrayal of injuries. Additionally, the inclusion of blood pooling on the canvas was a contributing factor to the change in rating to “M.”
Much like UFC 4, the game will showcase prominent figures from the UFC in a roster that will evolve and expand after the game’s initial release. Valentina Shevchenko and Alexander Volkanovski will grace the cover of the Standard Edition, while the Deluxe Edition will feature Israel Adesanya. Alongside the existing UFC fighters, the roster will also introduce legendary fighters. As an exclusive pre-order incentive, the game will include Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, and Fedor Emelianenko as part of its roster.
As per information from various sources, the online mode exclusively highlights user-created fighters. In this mode, players will engage in combat within one of four divisions, striving to climb the ranks and contend for a championship victory. EA Sports has indicated that the progression system will resemble the ranked championship format seen in previous UFC games. However, a novel element comes in the form of evolution points, which will empower players to enhance their fighter’s capabilities through repeated online battles. Each division will accommodate a distinctly created fighter, and matchups will be facilitated through skill-based matchmaking. Notably, the online career mode is an additional feature alongside the offline mode.
