In July, when CAD-based renders of the OnePlus 12 emerged, they unveiled a smartphone with a centrally positioned punch-hole display and a round camera cluster housing three cameras. However, OnLeaks, the same source, has now released a fresh batch of OnePlus 12 renders, showcasing a modified camera cluster design.
This new design features four circles within the camera island, departing from the previous three-circle arrangement. Additionally, the Hasselblad logo has been relocated to the left side of the camera cluster, no longer positioned between the rows of cameras.
Apart from these alterations, all other aspects appear to be consistent. OnLeaks indicates that these updated renders are derived from images of a pre-production unit of the OnePlus 12. As of now, OnePlus has not officially disclosed any details about the OnePlus 12. Nevertheless, there are speculations suggesting that the smartphone may make its debut in China in December, followed by a global launch in January 2024. It is rumoured to be equipped with the as-yet-unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, offering up to 24GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and running on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14.
The smartphone is set to sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display, complete with an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication and a punch hole housing the 32MP front-facing camera. On the rear, it will feature a triple-camera system consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 64MP periscope camera capable of 3x optical zoom.
Powering the device will be a robust 5,400mAh battery, which can be rapidly charged with a 100W wired charger or a 50W wireless charger.
