Samsung is preparing to release an updated version of Good Lock, its popular customization app, coinciding with the launch of Android 14 and One UI 6.0 for Galaxy smartphones. This new Good Lock update enhances the functionality of many modules/plugins and is being introduced through incremental updates. In a recent release, Samsung improved the One Hand Operation+ plugin, introducing new customization options, some of which are exclusive to Android 14/One UI 6.0.
One Hand Operation+ is designed to improve one-handed usability without reducing the overall user interface size. It achieves this by allowing users to assign gestures for various actions on both the left and right sides of the screen, including opening apps. A notable addition to this update is the ability to configure the quick launcher to display recently opened apps before the list of favourite apps.
Users can also use long-press actions to open apps in split-screen mode or as pop-up windows, with the latter feature exclusive to One UI 6.0. The “hide handle” option has been removed from assignable actions. Additionally, the update includes bug fixes and stability improvements.
To access the latest version, 6.6.19, of One Hand Operation+, users can download it from the Galaxy Store or the Play Store. In cases where it’s unavailable on app stores due to regional limitations, the app’s installation file can be downloaded from APK Mirror and manually installed on the device. After installation or update, users can enable and customize the gestures within the app settings, allowing for a tailored and efficient one-handed experience.
