The inaugural regional AI Summit, titled “Kiss the Future,” is set to take place in Sarajevo on September 5 and 6, 2024. Organized by the Blum Institute and under the patronage of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with UniCredit Bank as the general sponsor, this summit aims to bring together leading experts and innovators in the field of artificial intelligence.
Held at the Sarajevo National Theater, the event will feature discussions on crucial topics such as the development and application of AI in healthcare, telecommunications, ecology, investments, and the public sector. Additionally, the summit will host workshops focused on the use of AI in marketing, video and photo production, and e-commerce.
One of the keynote speakers will be Dirk Woessner, the former director of Deutsche Telekom and currently the general director at Warburg Pincus in Berlin. Woessner, who manages investments in technology and telecommunications projects, will share his insights as a panelist.
Another notable speaker is Leo Kärkkäinen, a professor of embedded AI systems at the University of Eastern Finland. With a career spanning 25 years at Nokia and later as an AI expert at Huawei in Berlin, Kärkkäinen will discuss the development and application of AI systems and their societal impacts.
