The AI revolution is sweeping the globe, with companies like OpenAI continuously enhancing their language models for greater reliability. Concurrently, hardware manufacturers are exploring innovative ways to infuse intelligence into their products. Just a month ago, Nothing introduced ChatGPT integration to its Ear (2024) and Ear A earbuds. Now, the company has announced a broader expansion, extending the feature to encompass all its audio offerings.
Nothing took to Twitter to unveil the news, declaring that, starting next week, all of its audio products would support ChatGPT integration. In their tweet, they stated: “Alongside Ear and Ear (a), our ChatGPT integration is coming to all of our audio products: Ear (1), Ear (stick), Ear (2), CMF Buds, CMF Neckband Pro, and CMF Buds Pro. Update your Nothing X app on May 21st.”
For those unacquainted, ChatGPT integration enables users to initiate conversations with the AI assistant simply by pinching their earbuds’ stems. However, this functionality is exclusive to Nothing phones running Nothing OS 2.5.5, and users must activate the shortcut within the Nothing X app beforehand.
Originally slated for a June release, the update will now be available as early as May 21. If you’re keen on experiencing ChatGPT integration with your compatible earbuds, ensure to update the Nothing X app next week.
