Samsung’s esteemed Galaxy Buds series is anticipated to receive a fresh update this year, potentially introducing not just one, but two new iterations to the market. A recent scoop from Galaxyclub has revealed that Samsung is in the midst of developing a standard Galaxy Buds 3 alongside a more premium Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, identified through development firmware with model numbers SM-R530 and SM-R630, respectively.
While specific details on the earbuds are sparse at the moment, we can speculate based on Samsung’s past release patterns. The company often unveils new earbud models in conjunction with its flagship device launches. Given that there were no new earbuds released with the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year, it’s plausible to expect the debut of these earbuds around the time the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are introduced, likely around August 2024.
Introducing both a regular and a Pro variant suggests that Samsung may be planning to phase out its previous models. Therefore, it’s reasonable to assume that the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are intended to be the successors to the Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, respectively. This sets a baseline for pricing expectations; the Galaxy Buds 2 was initially priced at $150, and the Buds 2 Pro at $230. Considering inflation and advancements in technology, prices for the new models may see a slight increase from these figures.
