Samsung has recently unveiled its latest Galaxy Book 4 series, including laptops and two-in-ones, with the announcement being somewhat understated amidst a flurry of mobile device news from MWC 2024. This low-profile launch could be attributed to the fact that the new models retain the design of their 2023 predecessors, featuring primarily upgrades in the processor department.
Leading the lineup is the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, a premium 16-inch laptop offering a 16:10 aspect ratio and a striking 3K-resolution (2,880×1,800 pixels) AMOLED touchscreen display. It stands out as Samsung’s flagship offering in the range, equipped with either an Intel Core Ultra 7 or 9 processor, and options for Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 or 4070 graphics cards. The device also comes with 16GB or 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, maintaining its price point from the previous year at $2,400.
Following the Ultra is the Galaxy Book 4 Pro, which is available in both 14- and 16-inch laptop versions, along with a 16-inch convertible variant known as the Pro 360. These models share similar design and display characteristics with the Ultra but are limited to a single processor choice, the Intel Core Ultra 7, and feature Intel’s new integrated Arc graphics instead of a discrete GPU. Pricing for the Pro models starts at $1,450 for the 14-inch, $1,750 for the 16-inch and $1,900 for the Pro 360 version.
Additionally, Samsung introduces more accessible options with the Galaxy Book 4 360 and the Galaxy Book 4. Both devices boast 16:9, 1080p AMOLED displays and are powered by the new 14th-gen Intel Core 7 processors with integrated graphics. The Galaxy Book 4 360, a two-in-one device, is priced starting at $1,100 and is already on the market, whereas the clamshell Galaxy Book 4 will be available by the end of March, starting at $900.
Samsung is also offering a promotional trade-in deal that allows customers to get up to $800 off a Galaxy Book 4 purchase through its website until April 1. Additionally, buyers will receive a Samsung Portable SSD T7 Shield with 2TB of storage and a 30% discount on Samsung Care Plus device protection, irrespective of a trade-in.
