Amazfit is set to introduce its latest innovation, the Amazfit Helio smart ring, into the market on May 15th, priced at $299. This launch is expected to bring direct competition for products like the Oura Ring and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Ring. Unveiled during CES 2024, the Helio smart ring is tailored as a fitness wearable, adding to Amazfit’s ecosystem where the smartwatch monitors exercise and physical activity.
Equipped with sensors to track resting heart rate, SpO2, physical temperature, and breathing and heart rate variability, the Amazfit Helio Ring offers comprehensive monitoring of sleep and analysis of mental and physical readiness. Wearers receive a daily score ranging from 1 to 100 to evaluate their overall physical and mental preparedness.
While Amazfit has garnered attention for its range of budget-friendly smartwatches, the Helio ring signifies the company’s foray into the smart ring market. Despite its $299 price tag, reports indicate that buyers will have the option to purchase a Helio ring for only $149 when bundled with an Amazfit Cheeta Pro or T-Rex Ultra fitness tracker.
Constructed with titanium alloy, the Amazfit Helio Ring weighs a mere 4g, equivalent to four dollar bills or half a teaspoon of sugar. It boasts a remarkable 10 ATM water resistance, allowing users to swim in depths of up to 100 meters.
Similar to Amazfit’s smartwatches, the Amazfit Helio Ring integrates seamlessly with the Zepp app, available for both iOS and Android users. Although Helio users can effortlessly synchronize the ring’s insights with their Amazfit smartwatch data within the app, it’s worth noting that the Helio Ring functions as a standalone device, eliminating the necessity for consumers to possess or acquire an Amazfit smartwatch.
